There Goes was written about my walks along the Lachine Canal in Montreal. I have a 5km loop that I take from Griffintown to the Atwater Market in Saint Henri and there’s a bench about halfway between the two places that I like to sit and people watch on. My solitary walks are a special and important part of my days so this song came to me very easily. And the arrangement that Mark Limacher made for it captures the feeling of the song perfectly. I hope you enjoy this love letter to my bench and to the people I see that pass by it.
